2016: Named D3baseball.com New York Region Rookie of the Year and Third Team All-Region…Voted as Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Year and First Team honoree…Named to Empire 8 All-Tournament Team…Started all 42  games… Recorded first collegiate hit in only at bat at Christopher Newport on Feb. 27th… In a double header sweep at Whittier College he went a combined 4-for-6 with two homeruns, seven RBI, and scored four runs on March 16th … Recorded one hit in three at bats with one homerun, two RBI, and two runs scored against Oneonta on March 30th… In the second game of a double header on April 2nd went 3-for-5 with one homerun, three RBI, and two runs scored at Stevens … In a double header match up against Canton on April 10th went a combined 5-for-9 with four RBI, one stolen base, and three runs scored … Had a 10 game hitting streak from April 10th to April 20th… On April 11th against Canton he went 1-for-2 hitting one homerun, recording four RBI, and two runs scored … Recorded one hit with two RBI on April 20th at Elmira … At the Empire 8 Tournament, he went 8-for-17, including a 4-for-4 performance in the championship win over St. John Fisher on May 15th.

High School: A 2015 graduate of the Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, Little was coached by Tom Dotterer. He earned first-team All-Central New York honors his senior season. He also played golf.

Personal: A sport management major, he is the son of Bill and Missy Little. Sam’s twin brother, Webb, is also a member of the baseball team.
