Player Bio

A 2017 graduate of Santa Margarita Catholic High School in California, Josh earned three letters on the varsity baseball team and was named captain in 2017, He was selected to the Trinity League All-Star Team in 2017. Santa Margarita has produced Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors), Trayce Thompson (Los Angeles Dodgers) and Carson Palmer (Arizona Cardinals).

Columbia Assistant Coach Dan Tischler noted, “Josh is a solid defender who can play all over the infield and help a team in a lot of different ways. His bat speed is an exciting tool and we are excited to see Josh develop further with the Flames this summer.”

Columbia has a strong baseball program that is a perennial Ivy League contender. In the last 12 year, the Lions have won five Gehrig Division titles, four Ivy League championships, a number of wins over major programs and four NCAA Tournament victories.

Josh is the son of Michelle and William Nicoloff of Ladera Ranch, CA. He has three siblings, Luke, Hailey, and Juliana.
