Player Bio

A 2017 graduate of West Morris Mendham High School, Chernow played four years of varsity baseball. Over his High School career, the switch-hitting Chernow compiled an impressive slash line of .377/.415/.538. 

Among his many accolades are the following:

  • 2017 Rawlings Perfect Game Preseason All-Northeast Region Honorable Mention
  • NJAC All-Conference First Team as junior and senior
  • Star Ledger All-State Group 3 Third Team,
  • Daily Record  All-County Second Team in 2016 …
  • Named NJAC All-Conference Second Team and Daily Record Honorable Mention as sophomore
  • Also played soccer for two seasons, winning a State Group 3 Championship in 2015.

Jack is the son of Patty Sly and Bob Chernow of Chester, NJ. He has two sisters, Robin and Melissa. Sister Robin played soccer and ran track at Haverford College from 2011-15. While he has not declared a major at this point, he is considering finance and economics.
