Coveted Spot to Onondaga Flames Intern

Syracuse, NY October 22, 2016: Onondaga Flames Intern Mickey Beach, a junior transfer student at Coastal Carolina University, has been appointed Student Assistant Manager to the Chanticleers’ reigning College World Series Championship baseball team.

beach-mickeyLast year, Beach was the Tompkins Cortland Community College team captain under Head Coach Ryan Stevens, who is also the Flames Director of Baseball.  After graduation, Mickey transferred to CCU, where he is a sports management major. “I am excited to have these great opportunities.” said Beach, “I am working towards a career in baseball and am thankful for the chance to learn from these top professionals.”

Mickey has quickly adjusted to the CCU lifestyle and loves every part of the new challenges. He will travel with the team and assist on any practice and game day needs. A pitcher at TC3, Mickey will also throw batting practice.

“Mickey already has some valuable baseball experience and learning under Coach Giimore is a chance of a lifetime.” commented Stevens, “We are very proud to have him a part of our Onondaga Flames staff this summer.”

Mickey is from Newfield, New York.
