Former CBA 1st Team All-League Star Joins Flames Pitching Staff

Syracuse NY January 21, 2017: The Onondaga Flames of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League ( announced today that St. Lawrence Saints right-hander Emmett Dunn will join the Flames pitching staff for the 2017 summer season.
Dunn was a two-sport athlete at perennial powerhouse Christian Brother Academy, playing baseball and basketball. He was captain of both teams and as well as being an honor roll student. Over his three year Brothers varsity career Evan complied a 1.82 ERA with a WHIP of 0.5 and a strikeout to walk ratio of 5.7.

Emmett had a successful freshman season for the Saints including a near no-hitter in his first collegiate win against Union College. Dunn took a no-hitter through eight innings before giving up a single to the lead off hitter in the ninth. He finished with a 2-hit shutout.

“Emmett is a great athlete and fierce competitor. We are fortunate to have him join our pitching staff.” commented Ryan Stevens, Flames Director of Baseball.

Emmett is a sophomore at St Lawrence. He is son of  Val and Greg Dunn of Manlius, NY.
