Niagara, N.Y. Monday June 11, 2018: The Onondaga Flames entered their matchup with the Niagara Power on Monday hoping to bounce back from the Sunday road loss against the Syracuse Spartans. However, a spirited effort fell short as the Flames dropped the matchup at Sal Maglie Stadium 8-5.

After Onondaga got on the board first in the top of the 1st and adding another run in the 4th, Niagara exploded for four runs in the bottom half of the inning, eventually taking a 5-2 lead after 5 innings of play.

The Flames did fight back, tying the game up at 5 after scoring two runs in the 6th inning and one more in the 7th. However, a pair of errors by the Flames in the 8th led to the Power plating three runs.

With the loss, Onondaga drops to 3-6 on the season. The Flames have a prime opportunity to pick up a win return to OCC Stadium tomorrow as the visiting team against the Syracuse Salt Cats, against whom the Flames have picked up two of their three wins.
