Onondaga, NY September 21, 2017: Former Liverpool High School ace and NYS All-Star, Jeff DeStefano, has committed to return to the Flames (@FlamesNYCBL) for an encore season in 2018. DeStefano led the Warriors to the NYS Sectional III Championship last year and played for the Flames as a high school graduate.

Last year DeStefano, a left-hander, was named All-League, All-CNY and All-State. His career stats include a 1.80 ERA.

“Jeff joined us for the last half of the 2017 season as he was busy winning the NYS Section III Championship. Nevertheless, by the end of the season he had adjusted nicely to the higher level of play, which is remarkable for someone just out of high school. We can’t wait to see what he will be able to do after a year with the Canisius (@GriffsBaseball) pitching staff.” commented Wayne Walker, Flames president.

“Canisius is one of the top programs in the Northeast and we always feel fortunate to have their players on our roster.” continued Walker.

Jeff is the son of Steve and Linda DeStefano and has a brother, Michael and a sister, Marissa. Jeff’s dad owns the popular Chadwicks Sports Bar & Grill on James Street in Syracuse.
