Joshua Paduano Named Flames Director of Operations & Marketing
Onondaga, NY October 1, 2017: The Onondaga Flames of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) announced today that Joshua Paduano will join the team as Director of Operations & Marketing on October 9th. Paduano will be responsible for all team activities outside the base lines. Paduano is also the new Junior Varsity Head Coach at his Alma mater, Jamesville-Dewitt. The former Red Ram was a pitcher and middle infielder before heading off to LeMoyne where he earned a B.A. in Communications & Film Studies. After graduation from college, Paduano has worked as a substitute teacher for the Jamesville-Dewitt Central School District and as a Site Supervisor for the Town of Dewitt. He also helped build a successful business as a DJ/MC hosting more than 300 weddings and other events. Onondaga Flames Set to Return to NYCBL
Onondaga, N.Y. – The NYCBL is excited to announce that CNY Baseball, Inc is returning to play in the league with the Onondaga Flames. CNY had voluntarily suspended play last year in the NYCBL and the Flames played the 2017 season in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.  After a successful season, in which the Flames made the playoffs in their first year of play, the team has decided to return to the NYCBL for the 2018 season. The Flames, of Onondaga, NY will call Onondaga Community College home. Mike Cordero Named Flames New Head Coach
Onondaga, NY August 14, 2017: The Onondaga Flames announced today that Mike Cordero will be their new Head Coach for the 2018 summer season. Cordero, currently Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Santa Barbara City College, has over 13 years of coaching experience ranging from high school to NCAA Division 1 levels. Over his career, Mike has coached in the postseason 11 times, winning six league championships. He has had over a dozen players playing professionally. Cortland, NY – The New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) and Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL) have partnered to create an All-Star Showcase between the two leagues. This newly formed summer classic will showcase All-Stars from both leagues beginning with the summer of 2018. The NYCBL and ACBL are both members of the National Alliance of Summer College Baseball (NACSB). Both leagues are amongst the oldest and respected summer collegiate wooden bat leagues in the country. Tim Locastro (pictured) has made appearances for the Los Angeles Dodgers in his first two major league games against the Colorado Rockies. Locastro is an alumus of the NYCBL having payed for the Syracuse Jr. Chiefs (now the Onondaga Flames) in the 2012 summer season. Tim swiped his first base of the season on Saturday September 30th. JAMESTOWN, N.Y. - In a thrilling first round match-up, the Jamestown Jammers won 3-2 on a walk-off single by John Conti (Canisius) to beat the Onondaga Flames in the bottom of the 11th. The top-seeded Jammers will play the No. 3 Elmira Pioneers tomorrow in the West Division Championship Series opener at Diethrick Park, beginning at 7:05 p.m. The Flames took an early by scoring one run in the top of the first, as Trey Baur (Cornell) singled and later scored when Sam Little (Ithaca) doubled to make it 1-0 Flames. JAMESTOWN, N.Y. - In the 2017 regular-season finale, the Jamestown Jammers defeated the Onondaga Flames, 8-5, with a late game surge to secure the win. The Jammers finished the regular season with a 34-15 record and the Onondaga Flames finished with a 23-26 record. These two teams will face off again tomorrow in the first round of the West Division playoffs at 7:05 p.m. at Diethrick Park. Dutchmen Thump Flames in Home Finale at Onondaga

Onondaga, NY-  The Albany Dutchmen (31-16) scored 13 runs in the final four innings of Sunday’s game against the Onondaga Flames (23-25) to secure a 14-2 victory at Onondaga Community College. The Dutchmen came into the sixth inning trailing 2-1 before getting the late game scoring started with an RBI triple by Justin Childers (Ohio Dominican University). Childers then scored on an error by catcher Camillo Spinoso (Le Moyne College) to give Albany a 3-2 lead. Two batters later Chris Villa (Seton Hall University) reached on an error by shortstop Carsen Negrete (Gonzaga University).  The error allowed Jon Skidmore (Dallas Baptist University) and Zach Durfee (Siena College) to score and give the Dutchmen a 5-2 lead.
